Ditch that tired RB Alternator that is over 25 years old and step into a world of reliability. The alternators on the Nissan RB series engines came with an output of 35amps and 90Amps in the later model RB26.
With today's technology and horsepower figures being constantly pushed, an average street car can easily consume even the full 90amps by making even the most minor modifications such as, Aftermarket ECU's, Additional Fuel Pumps, Upgraded Ignition Hardware or even a simple set of headlight upgrades.
Both our LS1 alternators in this listing from either OEX or GM/Mitsubishi produce a whopping 140amps and are a cheap viable upgrade for the RB platform using our quality conversion kit.

Our kit comes fully integrated into ONE good looking and simple solution that allows your alternator to mount as close to the block as much as possible
This kit can be installed in a short amount of time with ease and comes with:
- PRP Custom Billet Alternator Bracket
- Adjusting hardware to suit
- 20% Under driven Alternator Pulley to suit RB 4 rib belts, specifically designed to ensure not over spinning the Altenator beyond manufacturers recommendations.
- Optional LS1 Alternator (either OEX or Genuine GM/Mitsubishi [GM92058857])
- Applicable to all twin and single cam RB engines.

Great looking product. Got it working now and is great however my mechanic had trouble with the install. After PRP provided excellent assistance, there were still questions around correct pully size, belt length and if it would function properly. Would love to see more info provided through PRP but so far so good. We'll see if it holds up.
It was packaged nicely, simple and easy to install
Really great kit, pulley is perfect fit on new shaft bore. Assembly bracket and adjuster are clean looking pieces of kit. No slip or sloppy fit, nice and tight the way I like it. It will require removal of the rad fan and shroud if you’re using a thicker rad like I am just as a heads up. Also make sure you check the diameter of the power line terminal ring… this is as much my fault for reading the instructions on the fly like an excited kid building his new Lego set. But would have been nice to know in the description on the order page. (I would have prepped it before the kit and alternator arrived vs once it’s taking up space in the way of the leads) again mostly my fault but no denying we’ve all done this type of thing with a new piece of kit we’re excited about. It works great, loads of juice now, no more low idle stutter or brake and headlamps dimming at idle… embarrassing…
10/10 would recommend the upgrade.
