We have developed a nifty neat and simple timing pointer for the Nissan RB26 engine which allows you to have a cam gear timing reference when you choose to remove your OEM cam gear backing plate.
This discreet little timing pointer hides behind the cam gears and no one needs to know it’s there, as you really only need them whilst timing your engine or replacing a timing belt. Up until now we’ve had workshops use our big double CAS bracket to help time engines, but this simple and relatively inexpensive tool stays on the engine.
We’ve also incorporated a little bit of adjustment with some eccentric washers that allow you to set your timing reference exactly where you want it in the case of modified cam train components.
